Well it's realy a busy course to choose. today i have to read all the notes throughout this short 2 weeks urinary module. Once my friend said that in medics the important thing is to be hardworking. It's no use just being genius. want it or not you just have to spend your time until late at night studying.
this morning i went to the Anatomy lab . We got the chance to hear what the speacielist and surgeon got to talk about the kidney. We would only be able to hear it from them and not yet experiencing anything yet as we are only year 1.
Nevertheless sometimes we would be exposed to parts of the organ we're currently studying.
Once i have the chance to feel the heart. It's only the size of your fist, but it's role in the body is really vital.
My class start at 8 and ends at 5 in the evening. Sometimes we end earlier than that or start at 9 or 10. It would be a really busy day when we had to face 4 to 5 lectures a day. Each one takes an hour. Different lecturer take over for different subjects.
We have many foreign lecturers. Some of them were not fluent English and are adapting quickly. But they are really good at teaching. ( eventhough some talk too fast) and we don't have much problems.
The subjects are Anatomy, Biochemistry , Physiology , Pathology, Pharmacology, Parasitology, PHPM, Molecular Medicine.
Currently our faculty are sharing faculty with the Engineering student so our number are limited to 235 per badge ( Actually it's the most in any medic faculty in IPTA).
Days passed by very fast and now it's nearly the end of our 1st year . Preparation for final exam in about a month had been started by some student. Yet we also had loads and loads more sgs (assignment) and reading to do for the current modul, let alone the previous 7 module yet to be reviewed. much more things besides studywere on some of the student's mind especially the one that is active in programs and activities outside medical world.
Some are involved in solat hajat perdana, some in medical quiz competition, some in sports day.....
Well, i hope this gives you a brief view of our lives as a medical student in uitm shah alam.
ahaha..seems like having a tough life being a medic student. never mind, utk ummah, utk Islam =)
